Small businesses (SMEs) make up 98.5% of South Africa’s economy and although they may be creative, hardworking and have a great product or service to sell, they do not always have the knowledge or expertise to grow their businesses using digital platforms like Facebook and Google effectively.
The more effective their digital marketing becomes, the more business they’ll get, which in turns means higher turnover and profit – leading to growth and expansion. That in turn means they’ll be able to employ more staff, thereby decreasing the unemployment rate in the country.
Digital marketing is a lot more cost effective than print ads, TV, radio or knock ‘n drops, especially if you’re targeting a specific market.
Take for example, vet services … how much wastage is there in printing and leaving flyers in all the post boxes in your area, when you only need to target animal owners. You cannot do that with traditional advertising, but with digital media you can be very specific and deliver your message only to those people who will use vet services, like inoculations, check-ups, teeth cleaning or electronic tagging.
As a digital marketer (and animal lover), I urge you to take a look at switching your ad budget over to using the power of Facebook and Google ads. I can guarantee you a better return on investment, compared to using any other advertising media.
However, you need to know what you’re doing. It’s not just a matter of having a website and a Facebook page, and hoping people will find you… or just randomly trying to place a Google ad and hoping you’ll land on the first page when people search for your product or service. You can waste a lot of time and money trying to do this yourself, instead of focusing on what you’re good at – and what you’re trained to do and what you love doing.
I’ve been trained by the best in the business – Elite Inc. (they have a 90% success rate with their students). Let me design your first Facebook ad campaign for free (you only for the placement on FB), and if you see results, then let’s chat about a more permanent relationship.
